Stuart is a town that's never lost its small-town roots even as it's grown, it's held onto the kind of place where people still wave from their trucks and a handshake still means something. That's the same ground Stuart Construction was built on.
We didn't start as a big firm with a big name. We started the way Stuart itself did: modest, local, and focused on doing right by the people around us. As a full-service commercial general contractor working across Martin, Palm Beach, St. Lucie and surrounding counties, but we've never lost sight of where we came from or who we're building for.
Every project we take on, from commercial builds to multifamily developments to custom homes, carries that same hometown approach: show up, do the work right, and treat the client like a neighbor because more often than not, they are one.

Ryan Ackner leads Stuart Construction with more than twenty-five years of experience in the construction industry. He has built a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from tenant improvements to large-scale ground-up developments across most industries. His career began in his family’s construction business, where he worked in the field as a teenager, gaining hands-on experience as a laborer and carpenter’s assistant. This early exposure instilled a strong work ethic and a comprehensive understanding of the craft from the ground up.
Ryan studied architecture at the University of South Florida, which provided a solid design foundation that has supported his career in construction management. Over the years he advanced through key roles including estimator, project manager, and project executive developing a deep understanding of project planning, cost control, and execution.
He has served as a managing partner and founder in commercial construction firms, where he led teams, oversaw complex builds, and strengthened client relationships. In addition, he has worked as an owner’s representative for a world-renowned hospital organization, managing design and construction programs and ensuring that projects met stringent standards for quality, performance, and user experience.
With a blend of field experience, design insight, and executive leadership, Ryan brings a practical approach to every project Stuart Construction manages.

Katie Ackner brings more than 16 years of experience in communications, marketing and strategic business development. Throughout her career, she has helped organizations strengthen their brands, build meaningful relationships and communicate effectively with their audiences.
In her role as Vice President of Business Developmement at Stuart Construction, Katie brings that communications expertise to the company’s growth strategy, client relationships, business development and overall operations.
